This article from the NYTimes talks about musicians getting and maintaining fame through the internet.  It’s not related to photography, though there are some things you can learn if you want people on the internet, to know about you as a photographer.

Say, for example, you want to sell your photos online.  According to this article it’s about developing relationships with the people who love your work, via the internet.  Maintaining your fan base can take more work than you expect, but it seems to be the way to fame on the internet.
